JustToday helps you plan and pace a day. It is not therapy, and the breathing and grounding exercises in the app are not treatment for anything. Sometimes the right next step is a person, not an app. This page is here for that, whenever you want it.

Nothing on this page is chosen for us by anyone else. We take no commission, and none of these links carry referral or tracking codes.

If you need someone now

  • United States: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Call, text, or chat 988. Free, confidential, 24/7, for any mental health or substance use crisis, not only suicide.
  • United States: Crisis Text Line. Text HOME to 741741. Free and 24/7, in English and Spanish.
  • Anywhere else: Find A Helpline. findahelpline.com lists verified helplines in over 130 countries. We link one well-maintained directory rather than a country list we cannot keep current.

If someone is in immediate physical danger, contact your local emergency services.

Finding a therapist

Finding care is its own executive-function task, which is a genuinely unfair thing to ask of someone who needs it. The parts that hold true almost anywhere:

  • Ask a practice directly about sliding-scale places. Many hold a few and never advertise them. If cost is the barrier, saying so on the first call often changes what gets offered.
  • A first call can be ten minutes. It is a question about availability and cost, not a commitment, and you are allowed to not continue.
  • The first person you speak to does not have to be the one. Changing therapists is normal and is not starting over.

United States & Canada

These are the directories we can actually speak to. Fees and ranges were last checked on August 16, 2026 and do change.

  • Open Path Psychotherapy Collective: sliding-scale sessions, roughly $30–80. It requires a one-time membership fee before you can book (US$65 when we last checked), and it asks that you use something else if you have behavioural health coverage, so the places stay with people who have none.
  • Inclusive Therapists: centres therapists who are neurodivergence-affirming, and who practise across culture, race, disability, and gender identity.
  • Psychology Today: much the largest, and useful for filtering by insurance, specialty, and remote sessions. Worth knowing that it is paid advertising: therapists pay a monthly fee to appear, so it is not a complete register of who practises near you, and the lowest-cost practitioners are often the ones missing from it.

Everywhere else

We do not have a therapist directory outside the US and Canada that we would vouch for, and we would rather say so than list one we have not checked. Find A Helpline covers 130+ countries, and many of the services it lists can point you toward ongoing local care rather than only handling the moment.

ADHD and neurodivergence

  • CHADD: US non-profit; evidence-based information, local chapters, and support groups.
  • ADDA: the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, focused on adults, with virtual peer support groups.

A note on what this app does

JustToday is designed to help you plan and pace your day. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have concerns about attention, mental health, or any other health matter, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

The app does not record whether you use the breathing or grounding exercises. Nothing about them is stored on your device or sent anywhere.
